Registered Massage Therapist, Osteopathic Manual Practitioner

Simone has been a registered massage therapist since 1997. Shortly after becoming an RMT she took many courses in manual therapy and eventually decided to formalize her practice of manual therapy by entering the Osteopathic program at the Canadian College of Osteopathy in Toronto. Simone completed the program in 2015 as Valedictorian of her class and went on to defend her thesis in 2016, receiving the Andrew Taylor Still, D.O., award for advancement of Osteopathy in the field of Philosophical and Sociological research. Simone has been a yoga teacher for over 10 years, focusing on small group, semi-private and private classes. Small classes allow for focused attention on the specific needs of the client. More recently she has added the ELDOA modality to her repertoire. ELDOA exercises are very precise postures that target a specific level of the spine (or other joint) to provide relief from pain and restore balance. Simone often teaches ELDOA postures to her clients within the context of a treatment to use as home care to compliment and add to osteopathic and massage therapy treatments. ELDOA specific classes are available upon request as well as combination yoga/ELDOA classes. Simone has experience working with clients of all ages and with a wide variety of complaints including lower back pain, neck pain, digestive issues, headaches, TMJ dysfunction, bladder and gynecological issues, post-concussion symptoms and scars to list a few.
